I am currently writing a script in DGM 2570 that is turning out awesome. It's a true story about Soviet naval officer Vasili Arkhipov, a man who singly handedly prevented global annihilation at the height of the cold war. in the face of uncertainty, enormous pressure, and death, he went against his fellow officers to veto the launch of a nuclear torpedo. It would have started wWIII and cascading nuclear strikes that would have led to mutually assured destruction of the world.

This is a liminal horror mystery I've been developing. What's compelling to me about this is approaching the form in a way I haven't seen done before. It's a found footage film, but I want the structure/edit of the film to be as if the government actually recovered this film reel as it is. It encourages the audience to ask: who edited this film together? What warning are they trying to send us? the film itself is a riddle the audience can solve. The story is about the documentation of a scientific experiment gone wrong- spliced with cryptic odds and ends of other miscelanious film reels.
